Students With Intelligent Minds (S.W.I.M.) Program
Conder Elementary School

The Conder S.W.I.M. (Students With Intelligent Minds) Program is an after-school program funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLCC) grant.

The SWIM Program at Conder Elementary School operates Monday through Friday from 2:50 to 5:50pm. This program is designed to improve elementary school student’s academic performance, classroom behavior, school attendance, family literacy involvement, and cultural enrichment. The program implements a consistent behavioral support system, continuous performance feedback, tutoring, and homework help. On Tuesdays, students participate in SWIM Lessons. On Wednesdays, students participate in single gender activities.

CCP staff members are school teachers, service learning students from USC, Girl Scout Leaders, volunteers from the Horizon Program at Richland Northeast High School, and men trained to provide single gender education for boys called B.A.D.D.
